DCS STRATEGY AND ITS OUTCOMES

BOOSTER JUICE had attracted a dynamic and independently successful group of shareholders to its register who, together with  the founding shareholders and key executives played an active role in directing the growth strategies of the company. .During a series of strategy planning sessions the Board of Management applied its substantial experience in building networks and brands to exploring new growth horizons.
The strategic and  business planning process pointed to the development of an international franchising program that involved a mix of both Master Franchising and Area Development arrangements. An international franchise strategy was developed and the financial, legal and administrative structure and franchise program to facilitate growth was formulated following an aggressive Trade Mark registration program.

BOOSTER Juice has a growing global network of International Master Franchise and Area Development partners operating in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. It is still one of the fastest growing companies in CANADA.
– BOOSTER Juice has the largest spread of stores in the global juice and smoothies segment.
– The company is accelerating its growth through its international expansion strategies in multiple
   markets.
– Its international country partners are duplicating the canadian growth story using both franchised
   and company-owned stores.
– The value of the BOOSTER Juice Company is creating a new growth horizon on the back of this
    international strategy.
– Some of the highest revenue BOOSTER Juice stores in the world are now located outside of CANADA.
– The brand is becoming highly visible and the options of build and hold, trade sale or I.P.O provide
plenty of upside for all stakeholders.

BOOSTER JUICE DEVELOPING ITS ROOTS IN THE MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES

  • BOOSTER JUICE owner Dale Wishewan sold the area franchise rights, with a commitment to build six stores in three years in Dubai.Compared to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where BOOSTER JUICE was opened last year Dubai is very westernized and the cultural differences are not as significant.
  • Dale Wishewan pointed out potential locations, including the Burj Dubai, which is under construction and will rise 690 metres above the desert. They're hoping to have a store in that building.A lease has been signed to open in Dubai's upscale City Center Mall, where other tenants include Chanel, Gucci, and Hugo Boss.
  • The rents are pretty high almost triple what they are used to paying. But food costs are low, and company can get good workers for $800 to $1,000 Canadian, per month.Their target of six stores in three years is conservative. They wouldn't be surprised if they had 10 stores within two years, said the CEO of BOOSTER JUICE.
  • Dubai has a large international community with 65,000 Canadians living there.Wishewan expects almost half of the stores' employees to be women -- compared to only five per cent in Riyadh.

CHALLENGES TO BOOSTER JUICE

1. One of the biggest hurdles is finding suitable overseas partners. It is challenging to qualify an individual franchisee in Canada, but it is 10 times as important to choose the right master franchisor for an entire country, or major city. Breaking into the U.K. market is high on Booster Juice's list of priorities, but, after months of negotiations, Wishewan is still going back and forth with a possible partner there. The same situation is playing out with Booster Juice's attempts to get into Shanghai, China.

2. The challenge: Booster Juice dominates the Canadian smoothie market, but it is now attempting to expand internationally. Jamba Juice and Smoothie King have already cornered the U.S. market, while, overseas, potential customers don't even know what smoothies are. What's more, finding the right person to champion the chain in a foreign country can be difficult. Booster Juice must determine how to franchise on a global scale.

3. The other large challenge is to remain cutting-edge. Customers want to see changes within their stores. People that are advocates of BOOSTER JUICE come in three to five times a week and may be they want to see new product.

A GOOD SUBSTITUTE OF CAFFEINE

The Booster Juice items that contain caffeine are: the Brazilian Thunder Açaí Smoothie, High
Impact Açaí Smoothie, Açaí NFG Shaker, Oregon Chai Latte, Hot Açaí, Açaí Berry Bowl, Açaí Tetra Packs, Matcha Monsoon Smoothie, Matcha Teazer, Matcha Shaker and the Fusion Booster.

  •   How much caffeine is in Açaí, anyway?
  •  Is it the same as a coffee?
  •  Is caffeine from guarana ‘healthier’ than caffeine from coffee or tea?

Caffeine is commonly spotted in over 80 plant sources -coffee, tea, cacao ( which provides us chocolate ), kola nut ( which is in Fusion Booster ) and guarana are some of more common plants. Caffeine is a chemical compound detected in all of these plants. There is no advantage in one source over another. Caffeine is a metabolic catalyst and some comparisons of caffeine measure are describes for 8 oz. of

ƒ Brewed Coffee  135 mg
ƒ Brewed Tea  50 mg
ƒ Snapple Iced Tea  48 mg
ƒ Diet Coca Cola  31 mg
ƒ Coca Cola or Pepsi 25 mg
ƒ Zola Açaí  17 mg

The Zola Açaí is a excellent substitution for a morning tea or coffee. It allows their buyers who desire to minimize their caffeine consumption by switching from coffee a reduction of 85% while still getting a little kick to commence their day. The nutritional benefit of Açaí is a lot better than coffee and tea.  It has astounding antioxidant benefits, Omega fatty acids, amino acids, iron and vitamins, and it distinguish itself from others by providing excellent levels of sustained energy
